In a press statement delivered at the conclusion of the mission to Croatia, the Special Rapporteur highlighted a particular concern regarding the situation of Roma settlements.

In August 2012, the Special Rapporteurs on minority issues, migrants, housing and racism urged the Government to ensure that its policies and practices regarding the dismantling of Roma settlements and the expulsion of migrant Roma conformed in all respects to European and international human rights law.
