At its fifty-second session, in the absence of nominations for the Chair from the Group of Western European and Other States, the Committee elected, by acclamation, the representative from Benin as Chair of the Committee for the session, without prejudice to the pattern of rotation for the post of Chair adopted by the Committee at its twenty-fifth session.

12. In the absence of nominations for the Chair from the Group of Western European and other States, at its 15th meeting, on 13 June, the Committee elected, by acclamation, Eric Franck Saizonou (Benin) as Chair of the Committee for the fifty-second session, without prejudice to the pattern of rotation for the post of Chair adopted by the Committee at its twenty-fifth session.
