The Special Committee recalls section B of General Assembly resolution 59/288, on the audit of safeguarding air safety standards while procuring air services for United Nations peacekeeping missions, as well as the recent strengthening of aviation safety capacity both at Headquarters and in the field, as part of the realignment of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
