Recognizing the important contribution of the NAPA framework in the preparation of second and subsequent national communications, the Conference of the Parties, by its decision 17/CP.8, provided for possible inclusion of this framework under the section on programmes containing measures to facilitate adequate adaptation to climate change.

In July 2005, the CGE, with the assistance of the secretariat, conducted a survey on existing activities and programmes to facilitate and support the preparation of second and subsequent national communications by non-Annex I Parties.
16- وقد أجرى الفريق في تموز/يوليه 2005، بمساعدة من الأمانة، دراسة استقصائية عن الأنشطة والبرامج القائمة لتيسير ودعم إعداد البلاغات الوطنية الثانية وما يليها للأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول.

The SBI invited the GEF to provide, in its report to the COP at its thirteenth session, detailed and current information on the modalities and source of funding for the preparation of second and subsequent national communications, and information on, and an explanation of, any changes to GEF procedures relating to the financing of national communications, for consideration by the SBI at its twenty-seventh session.
35- ودعت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ مرفق البيئة العالمية إلى تضمين تقريره إلى مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الثالثة عشرة معلومات مفصلة وحديثة بشأن طرائق ومصادر تمويل إعداد البلاغات الوطنية الثانية وما يليها، وتقديم معلومات وتوضيحات بشأن أي تغييرات في إجراءات المرفق فيما يتعلق بتمويل إعداد البلاغات الوطنية، كي تنظر فيها الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ في دورتها السابعة والعشرين.

The SBI, at its twenty-sixth session, invited the GEF to provide, in its report to the COP at its thirteenth session, detailed and current information on the modalities and source of funding for the preparation of second and subsequent national communications, and information on, and an explanation of, any changes to GEF procedures relating to the financing of national communications, for consideration by the SBI at its twenty-seventh session.
27- ودعت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ في دورتها السادسة والعشرين() مرفق البيئة العالمية إلى أن يقدم في تقريره إلى مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الثالثة عشرة معلومات مفصلة وحالية عن وسائط ومصادر التمويل لإعداد البلاغات الوطنية الثانية وما يليها، ومعلومات عن أي تغييرات في إجراءات المرفق المتعلقة بتمويل البلاغات الوطنية وشرح تلك التغييرات، كي تنظر فيه اللجنة الفرعية للتنفيذ في دورتها السابعة والعشرين.

The workshops were initial but effective steps in building the capacities of national experts to improve the preparation of second and subsequent national communications by using various tools and methodologies introduced at the workshop.
وقد شكلت حلقات العمل خطوات أولية، ولكن فعالة، في بناء قدرات الخبراء الوطنيين لتحسين إعداد البلاغات الوطنية الثانية والتي تليها، وذلك باستخدام شتى الأدوات والمنهجيات التي طُرِحت في حلقات العمل.
