25. The COP may appoint ad hoc Panels, as necessary, to provide it with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in relevant fields of science and technology.
٥٢- يجوز لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، حسبما يكون ضرورياً، أن يعين أفرقة مخصصة لكي تقدم إليه المعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا.

1. The Conference of the Parties may, in principle in its ordinary session, and as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the Committee on Science and Technology, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought.
١ - يجوز من حيث المبدأ أن يقوم مؤتمر اﻷطراف، في دورته العادية وحسبما يقتضيه اﻷمر، بتعيين أفرقة مخصصة لتوافيه، عن طريق لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بالمعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

A report on the state of the art in matters of poverty measurement, including suggestions and recommendations, will be before the Statistical Commission at its thirtieth session.
وسيعرض تقرير عن آخر التطورات في مسائل قياس الفقر، بما فيها المقترحات والتوصيات، على اللجنة اﻹحصائية في دورتها الثلاثين.

Through regular discussions, managers and staff will identify areas of weakness which would require strengthening in order to remain current with the state of the art in their particular areas of responsibility.

The identification of the indicators, methodologies and statistical sources being used should allow the preparation of a document or reports containing the state of the art in matters of poverty measurements, common procedures and best practices.
ومن شــأن تحديــد المؤشرات والمنهجيات والمصادر اﻹحصائية المستخدمة إتاحـة الفرصة ﻹعــداد وثيقـة أو تقاريـر تتضمن آخر ما تم التوصل إليه فيما يتعلق بمسائل مثل قياسات الفقر واﻹجراءات الموحدة وأفضل الممارسات.

١- يجوز لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، حسبما يقتضيه اﻷمر، أن يعين أفرقة مخصصة لتوافيه، عن طريق لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بالمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

24. The main function of the ad hoc panels is to provide information and advice to the COP, through the CST, on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought. (based on Article 24 of the Convention)
٤٢- تختص اﻷفرقة المخصصة بتقديم المعلومات والمشورة إلى مؤتمر اﻷطراف، عن طريق لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف )بناء على المادة ٤٢ من الاتفاقية(.

Article 24, paragraph 3, of the Convention provides for the creation of ad hoc panels, as necessary, by the COP in order to provide it, through the CST, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in the fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought.

٢ - ومن شأن تحديد المؤشرات والمنهجيات والمصادر اﻹحصائية المستخدمة إتاحة الفرصة ﻹعداد وثيقة أو تقارير تعكس آخر ما تم التوصل إليه فيما يتعلق بالمسائل المتعلقة بالفقر من قياسات وإجراءات موحدة وأفضل الممارسات.
