The purpose of this table is to illustrate partnerships created to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas and the year the partnership began.

B. Programme to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas

1. Requests the Secretariat to implement the programme for the biennium 20092010 as adopted by the Conference of the Parties in decision IX/[ ], in particular the proposed global programme and the programme to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas;

2. Also agrees that the Basel Convention Partnership Programme serve as a complementary mechanism to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas for the biennium 2007 - 2008;

7. Requests the Secretariat to report on developments and obstacles in the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas to the Conference of the Parties at its ninth meeting.
7 - يطلب من الأمانة إبلاغ مؤتمر الأطراف في اجتماعه التاسع عن التطورات التي استجدت والعراقيل التي ووجهت في سياق تنفيذ محاور تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية.

The programme comprises a global programme and a programme to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas.

3. A summary of the project proposals to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas is contained in a CD-Rom entitled " Proposed programme for 2007 - 2008: activities listed in the Technical Cooperation Trust Fund " .

Encourages Parties and other stakeholders to participate in the Basel Convention Partnership Programme as a means to help leverage resources to address the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas and promote the transfer of technology to and building of capacities of developing countries and countries with economies in transition;
2 - يشجع الأطراف وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين على المساهمة في برنامج شراكة اتفاقية بازل كوسيلة للمساعدة في تعبئة الموارد اللازمة من أجل تنفيذ مجالات تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية وتنشيط عملية نقل التكنولوجيا وبناء القدرات لدى البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقال؛

15 - ويرد موجز بمقترحات للمشاريع المحددة في الجدول 5 لدعم تنفيذ مجالات تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية في قرص مدمج CD-Rom تحت عنوان " البرنامج المقترح للفترة 2007 - 2008: الأنشطة المدرجة في الصندوق الاستئماني للتعاون التقني لاتفاقية بازل " .

(e) Public-private partnerships: Assistance to Parties and BCRCs to implement the work plan of the Partnership Programme, including overall support and guidance, assessment of prospects for new public-private partnerships and cooperation in support of the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas and of efforts to improve synergies among chemicals and wastes conventions, initiatives or programmes.
(ﻫ) الشراكات بين القطاعين العام والخاص: تقديم المساعدة للأطراف والمراكز الإقليمية والتنسيقية لاتفاقية بازل لتنفيذ خطة العمل الخاصة ببرنامج الشراكات بما في ذلك الدعم التام والتوجيه، وتقييم احتمالات إقامة شراكات جديدة بين القطاعين العام والخاص والتعاون من أجل تنفيذ مجالات تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية وجهود تحسين التآزر فيما بين الاتفاقيات والمبادرات أو البرامج المعنية بالمواد الكيميائية والنفايات.

3. Requests the Secretariat and the Basel Convention regional and coordinating centres to work together with interested Parties and other stakeholders towards consolidating existing technical, legal or capacity-building programmes to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas at the regional level;
3 - يطلب من الأمانة ومراكز اتفاقية بازل الإقليمية والتنسيقية العمل معاً إلى جانب الأطراف المعنية وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين لتجميع البرامج القائمة التقنية والقانونية وبرامج بناء القدرات لدعم تنفيذ محاور تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية على المستوى الإقليمي؛

(b) Incorporate the Basel Convention Partnership Programme as a complementary mechanism to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas which are mirrored in the 2005 - 2006 work plan for the Partnership Programme;
(ب) إدراج برنامج شراكة اتفاقية بازل بوصفه آلية تكميلية لدعم تنفيذ محاور تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية والتي تظهر في خطة العمل للفترة 2005 - 2006 بشأن برنامج الشراكات؛

(c) Request the Secretariat and the Basel Convention regional and coordinating centres to work together with interested Parties and other stakeholders towards consolidating existing technical, legal or capacity-building programmes to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas at the regional level;
(ج) يطلب من الأمانة ومراكز اتفاقية بازل الإقليمية والتنسيقية العمل مع الأطراف المعنية وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين لتجميع البرامج التقنية والقانونية والرامية إلى بناء القدرات لدعم تنفيذ محاور تركيز الخطة الاستراتيجية على المستوى الإقليمي؛

1. Initiate a review of the Technical Assistance Trust Fund as a mechanism to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas.
1- بدء استعراض للصندوق الاستئماني للمساعدة التقنية كأداة لدعم تنفيذ مجالات التركيز في الخطة الاستراتيجية.

Provide continuous guidance and assistance to BCRCs in the implementation of the Strategic Plan focus areas and in the development and effective implementation of projects and capacity-building activities contained in their business plans.
الاستمرار في تزويد المراكز الإقليمية والتنسيقية لاتفاقية بازل بالمشورة والمساعدة على تنفيذ مجالات التركيز في الخطة الاستراتيجية وذلك بتوخي الفعالية في وضع وتنفيذ المشاريع وأنشطة بناء القدرات الواردة، في خطط أعمال هذه المراكز.
