25. Requests the head of the Secretariat to report to the second and third sessions of the Conference of the Parties on the status of the Supplementary Fund and the Special Fund and to propose any adjustments that might be required in special purpose funding for 1999.

In light of the above decision, the Executive Secretary submits herewith, for the consideration of the Parties, a report on the status of the Supplementary Fund and the Special Fund.

In document ICCD/COP(1)/3/Add.1, proposals were made for the use of the Supplementary Fund to be established pursuant to paragraph 9 of the financial rules, and of the Special Fund to be established in accordance with paragraph 10 of the financial rules.
٥- قُدمت في الوثيقة ICCD/COP(1)/3/Add.1، مقترحات لاستخدام الصندوق التكميلي الذي سينشأ عملاً بالفقرة ٩ من القواعد المالية والصندوق الخاص الذي سينشأ عملاً بالفقرة ٠١ من هذه القواعد.

The SBI requested the secretariat to continue to facilitate assistance to non-Annex I Parties, in accordance with Article 8.2, by organizing forums for the exchange of experiences, and by providing relevant information, including exchanges between Parties, on the preparation of initial communications, using the resources of the Supplementary Fund.
٠٣- ورجت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ من اﻷمانة مواصلة تقديم المساعدة إلى اﻷطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق اﻷول، وفقا للمادة ٨-٢، عن طريق تنظيم محافل لتبادل الخبرات وتوفير المعلومات ذات الصلة بما في ذلك عمليات التبادل بين اﻷطراف فيما يتعلق بإعداد البلاغات اﻷولية باستخدام موارد الصندوق التكميلي.

(b) To take note of the funding estimates of the Supplementary Fund amounting to US$ 8,120,600 for 2004 and US$ 6,753,700 for 2005, totalling US$ 14,874,300 for the biennium, and to invite Parties, as well as governments of States not Parties, intergovernmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations, to make contributions to this fund;
(ب) الإحاطة علماً بتقديرات تمويل الصندوق التكميلي البالغة 600 120 8 دولار لسنة 2004، و700 753 6 دولار لسنة 2005، أي ما مجموعه 300 874 14 دولار لفترة السنتين، ودعوة الأطراف، فضلاً عن حكومات الدول غير الأطراف، والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية، والمنظمات غير الحكومية، إلى التبرع لهذا الصندوق؛
