In particular, they support unreservedly the decision of the Supreme National Council of Cambodia that the elections shall be held on 23/27 May 1993.

I will now bring to the attention of the Supreme National Council Security Council resolution 835 (1993), which was adopted unanimously on 2 June 1993.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council warns that those involved in the past few days’ riots, destruction of public property and attacks against the system would be tried and punished in the same way as those fighting God and those spreading corruption, charges which usually carry the death penalty.
أمين مجلس اﻷمن الوطني اﻷعلى يحذر من أن اﻷشخاص الذين اشتركوا في أعمال الشغب وتدمير الممتلكات العامة ومهاجمة النظام، التي ارتكبت في اﻷيام القليلة الماضية، سيحاكمون ويعاقبون بنفس الطريقة التي يحاكم، ويعاقب، بها أعداء الله ومن ينشرون الفساد، وهي تهم يعاقب عليها، عادة، باﻹعدام.

" Underlining the necessity for the full cooperation of the Supreme National Council of Cambodia, and all Cambodians for their part, in the implementation of the agreements,

Indeed, that party, after its early refusal to implement Phase II of the cease-fire and to demobilize its troops under UNTAC supervision, progressively withdrew from the peace process, absenting itself from meetings of the Supreme National Council.

Of the remaining $590 million, 50 projects valued at some $340 million have passed through a project approval process established by UNTAC with the involvement of the Supreme National Council (SNC).
٦٩ - ومن المبلغ المتبقي البالغ ٥٩٠ مليون دولار، تمت الموافقة على ٥٠ مشروعا تبلغ قيمتها نحو ٣٤٠ مليون دولار من خلال عملية للموافقة على مشاريع أنشأتها سلطة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية في كمبوديا باشتراك المجلس الوطني اﻷعلى.

The meeting of the Supreme National Council held at Beijing on 28 January 1993 was described in my report of 13 February 1993 on the implementation of Security Council resolution 792 (1992) (S/25289, paras. 3-6).

In the last analysis, it is on the shoulders of the Cambodian people and the Cambodian parties, which are members of the Supreme National Council and signatories of the Paris Agreements, as well as the political parties taking part in the election, that responsibility for Cambodia's future rests.
١٤١ - وفي التحليل اﻷخير، تقع هذه المسؤولية على عاتق الشعب الكمبودي واﻷحزاب الكمبودية اﻷعضاء في المجلس الوطني اﻷعلى والموقعة على اتفاقات باريس، فضلا عن اﻷحزاب السياسية المشاركة في الانتخابات، وذلك من أجل مستقبل كمبوديا. ولا تزال الحالة في كمبوديا غير مستقرة.

5. We reiterate our full support for His Royal Highness Samdech Norodom Sihanouk, Head of State and President of the Supreme National Council of Cambodia, and for his pivotal role in achieving peace and national reconciliation in the period prior to, during and after the elections.
٥ - ونكرر مساندتنا التامة لصاحب السمو الملكي اﻷمير نوردوم سيهانوك، رئيس الدولة ورئيس المجلس الوطني اﻷعلى لكمبوديا، ولدوره البالغ اﻷهمية في تحقيق السلم والمصالحة الوطنية في الفترة السابقة للانتخابات وخلالها وبعدها.

I have the honour to bring to your attention the statement made by my Special Representative for Cambodia at a meeting of the Supreme National Council of Cambodia on 29 May 1993 after the conclusion of the polling period in the election in Cambodia from 23 to 28 May 1993.
يشرفني أن أوجه انتباهكم إلى البيان الذي أدلى به ممثلي الخاص لكمبوديا في جلسة عقدت للمجلس الوطني اﻷعلى لكمبوديا في ٢٩ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٣ بعد انتهاء فترة الاقتراع في الانتخابات التي جرت في كمبوديا في الفترة من ٢٣ إلى ٢٨ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٣.

The two sides praised the role of His Royal Highness Samdech Presh Norodom Sihanouk, Head of State and President of the Supreme National Council of Cambodia, in unifying the Cambodian people and in bringing about genuine national reconciliation as well as peace and progress in Cambodia.

483. Following its field mission to Yemen in 1998, the Working Group recommended that the Government consider establishing a special task force of the Supreme National Committee on Human Rights.
483- وأوصى الفريق العامل، في أعقاب بعثته الميدانية إلى اليمن في عام 1998، الحكومة بأن تفكر في إنشاء فرقة عمل خاصة تابعة للجنة الوطنية العليا لحقوق الإنسان.

In closing this symposium, Adbul Jammal, our Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Supreme National Committee on Human Rights, stated that he plans to include all human rights issues in the curriculums of schools and universities.
وأكد اﻷخ عبد القادر باجمال نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، رئيس اللجنة الوطنية العليا لحقوق اﻹنسان، الذي اختتم هذه الندوة، بأن اللجنة لديها خطة ﻹدخال قضايا متعلقة بحقوق اﻹنسان في المناهج التعليمية وفي المدارس والجامعات.

Yemen submitted its initial report on the rights of the child in 1994, followed in 1997 by its second periodic report, also containing supplementary information, which was discussed after the establishment of the Supreme National Committee for Human Rights.
