The review both of the synthesized report of national action plans and of the system-wide medium-term plan, as well as the review and appraisal process of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, should provide a focused input into the Economic and Social Council's overall review of the theme of poverty eradication at a date to be determined by the Council.
