To note with appreciation that Azerbaijan has responded to recommendation 36/3 of the thirty-sixth meeting of the Implementation Committee, confirming that the Party has continued to implement the ban on the import of Annex A, group I, controlled substances (CFCs) that it introduced in November 2005 and that it is pursuing the approval of further measures to enhance the implementation and enforcement of that ban;

(a) To note with appreciation that Azerbaijan had responded to recommendation 36/3 of the thirty-sixth meeting of the Implementation Committee, confirming that the Party had continued to implement the ban on the import of Annex A, group I, controlled substances (CFCs) that it had introduced in November 2005 and that it was pursuing the approval of further measures to enhance the implementation and enforcement of that ban;

Recommendation 36/34 of the thirty-sixth meeting of the Implementation Committee noted with appreciation that Nepal had released 12.0 ODP-tonnes of CFCs on to its market in 2005, consistent with its commitment contained in decision XVI/27 to release no more than 13.5 ODPtonnes of CFCs on to its market in that year.
