In 2004, the Task Force on Financing Mechanisms (TFFM) released a report that was forwarded for consideration by the PrepCom of the Tunis phase of the WSIS in 2005.

CEB also urged its members to participate actively in the preparatory process of the Tunis phase of the World Summit on the Information Society and contribute to ensuring its success.
