More therefore had to be done to enhance the ability of the United Nations system to support developing countries in their efforts to implement their national development programmes and strategies aimed at eradicating poverty and achieving the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals.

The Council reaffirmed the inalienable, permanent and unqualified right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and urged all Member States and relevant bodies of the United Nations system to support and assist the Palestinian people in the early realization of their right to self-determination.
وأكد المجلس من جديد حق الشعب الفلسطيني غير القابل للتصرف والدائم وغير المشروط في تقرير مصيره، وحث جميع الدول الأعضاء والهيئات ذات الصلة التابعة لمنظومة الأمم المتحدة على دعم الشعب الفلسطيني ومساعدته على نيل حقه في تقرير المصير في أقرب وقت.
