Welcomes the agreement of the Lebanon Recovery Fund to host the Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration Trust Fund, based on voluntary contributions, to provide assistance and support to the States directly adversely affected in their integrated environmentally sound management, from clean-up to safe disposal of oily waste, of this environmental disaster resulting from the destruction of the oil storage tanks at Jiyeh electric power plant;
7 - ترحب بموافقة صندوق إنعاش لبنان على استضافة الصندوق الاستئماني لعلاج أضرار الانسكاب النفطي في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط، القائم على التبرعات، من أجل مد الدول التي تأثرت تأثرا سلبيا مباشرا بالمساعدة والدعم في مجال الإدارة المتكاملة والسليمة بيئيا، بدءا بالتنظيف ووصولا إلى التخلص الآمن من النفايات النفطية لهذه الكارثة البيئية الناجمة عن تدمير صهاريج تخزين النفط في محطة الجية لتوليد الكهرباء؛

With a view to taking comprehensive measures to suppress the fires, eliminate the impact of this environmental disaster and rehabilitate the fire-affected territories of Azerbaijan, our delegation, during intensive consultations, acting in the spirit of compromise, demonstrated maximum flexibility to accommodate every concern.
وبهدف اتخاذ تدابير شاملة لإطفاء الحرائق، والقضاء على أثر هذه الكارثة البيئية وإعادة تأهيل الأراضي التي تأثرت بالحرائق في أذربيجان، أظهر وفدنا، خلال المشاورات المكثفة، متحليا بروح التوافق، أقصى قدر من المرونة للاستجابة لكل الشواغل.

With the view to taking comprehensive measures to suppress the fires, eliminating the impact of this environmental disaster and rehabilitating the fire-affected territories of Azerbaijan, our delegation, acting in the spirit of compromise, during intensive consultations, demonstrated maximum flexibility to accommodate every concern and, as a result, on 7 September 2006 the General Assembly adopted resolution 60/285 without a vote.
ومن أجل اتخاذ تدابير شاملة لإطفاء الحرائق ووضع حد لأثر هذه الكارثة البيئية وإعادة تأهيل أراضي أذربيجان المتضررة منها، أظهر وفدنا خلال المشاورات المكثفة، انطلاقا من رغبته في التوصل إلى تسوية، أقصى قدر من المرونة لتهدئة جميع مشاعر القلق. ونتيجة لذلك، اتخذت الجمعية العامة في 7 أيلول/سبتمبر 2006 القرار 60/285 دون تصويت.
