(c) Following submission of the report of the Secretary-General on the activities of the Task Force in 2004 (E/2004/55), the Economic and Social Council adopted resolution 2004/62 on tobacco control, in which the Council recognized, among other things, the adverse impact of tobacco consumption on efforts towards poverty alleviation.
