The Chairman said that in paragraph 92 of his memorandum (A/CUR/57/1) the Secretary-General drew the Committee's attention to paragraph 9 of General Assembly resolution 56/38 and decision 56/473, in which the Assembly had decided to devote two plenary meetings of the fifty-seventh session to the outcome of the International Year of Volunteers and its follow-up.
