1. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish shall be the official and working languages of the Governing Council.

In accordance with rule 38, in connection with rule 2, of the draft Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of States Parties, Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official and working languages of the Bureau.

٢ - يلتزم اﻷمين العام بتشجيع تعلﱡم موظفي اﻷمانة العامة جميع اللغات الرسمية ولغات العمل في المنظمة، وبضمان توفير الموارد البشرية والمالية الكافية لمواصلة تعليم تلك اللغات.

25. As indicated above, the Secretariat has continually followed a policy of promoting the learning and use of the official and working languages of the Organization in all its activities.
