In the light of its general comment No. 5 (2003) on general measures of implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Committee recalls its previous recommendation (CRC/C/COG/CO/1, para. 17) and strongly recommends that the State party expeditiously improve its data collection system.

Under this cluster, States parties are requested to follow the provisions in paragraphs 5 and 6 above, general comment No. 2 (2002) on the role of independent national human rights institutions and general comment No. 5 (2003) on general measures of implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
