Recommendation: The Commission recommends that the secretariat further strengthen its programme on Good Governance in Investment Promotion (GGIP) and extend its assistance to more interested developing countries, in particular LDCs, in implementing measures to improve good governance in investment promotion.
وتوصي الأمانة بتعزيز برنامجها للإدارة السليمة في مجال ترويج الاستثمار وتوسيع نطاق مساعدتها إلى البلدان النامية التي تبدي اهتمامها بذلك، خصوصاً أقل البلدان نمواً، فيما يتعلق بتنفيذ التدابير الرامية إلى تحسين الإدارة السليمة في مجال ترويج الاستثمار.

To facilitate the discussions, the UNCTAD secretariat will prepare an issues paper drawing on the experiences gained by the secretariat through its programme on Good Governance in Investment Promotion (GGIP), as well as selected experiences of other organizations in promoting good governance of institutions involved in the investment process.

22. The President proposed that the Expert Meeting on Good Governance in Investment Promotion and the Expert Meeting on the Impact of Foreign Direct Investment on Development should be held back-to-back the same week, meaning that each meeting would last two and a half days instead of three.

22. The Chairperson of the Expert Meeting on Good Governance in Investment Promotion reported on that meeting, which had taken place from 1 to 3 November 2004.

In Ethiopia, a new project started with the Ethiopian Investment Commission to help implement recommendations from an UNCTAD report on Good Governance in Investment Promotion (GGIP) and UNCTAD's Investment and Innovation Policy Review.
