The Adaptation Committee should also, noted several Parties, take into account the work programme on loss and damage and its outcomes in order to recommend further action.

Also requests the Subsidiary Body for Implementation to elaborate, at its thirty-eighth session, activities under the work programme on loss and damage, to further the understanding of and expertise on loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change, taking into account the provisions contained in paragraph 7 above;

The SBI took note of the documents prepared for the session and welcomed the exchange of views that took place during the informal pre-sessional meeting of Parties to facilitate the elaboration of draft recommendations on loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change.
