Article II of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide defines the acts regarded as genocide, which include killing members of a national or religious group, causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group or deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.
فقد حددت المادة الثانية من اتفاقية منع جريمة الابادة الجماعية والمعاقبة عليها، اﻷفعال التي تعد محققة لﻹبادة الجماعية ومنها: قتل أعضاء الجماعة سواء كانت قومية أو دينية أو الحاق أذى جسدي أو روحي خطير بأعضاء من الجماعة أو إخضاع الجماعة عمدا لظروف معيشية يراد بها تدميرها المادي كليا أو جزئياً.
