At its tenth session, the Committee reiterated its previous conclusions regarding modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the Conference of the Parties (COP) and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism (A/AC.237/76, para. 89).

At its 3rd plenary meeting, on 3 April, the Conference agreed that action on the conclusions on modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the Conference of the Parties and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism, agreed by the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee at its tenth session, should be taken under agenda item 6(c).
٩٧- واتفق المؤتمر، في جلسته العامة الثالثة المعقودة في ٣ نيسان/أبريل، على أن اﻹجراءات المتصلة بالاستنتاجات بشأن طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات تشغيل اﻵلية المالية، وهي الاستنتاجات التي اتفقت عليها لجنة التفاوض الحكومية الدولية في دورتها العاشرة، ينبغي أن تتخذ في إطار البند ٦)ج( من جدول اﻷعمال.

By its decision 12/CP.1, the COP invited the GEF in future reports to take into account relevant aspects of the modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the Conference of the Parties and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism agreed on by the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for a Framework Convention on Climate Change and endorsed by the COP (see FCCC/CP/1995/7/Add.1).
