950. The Committee recommends that the State party adopt a strategy to tackle the problem of children working and/or living on the street.

Two major milestones in that regard were the debate in the Human Rights Council on the rights of children working and/or living on the street and the decisive General Comment on the right of the child to freedom from all forms of violence adopted by the Committee on the Rights of the Child.

306. The Committee recommends that the State party adopt a strategy to tackle the problem of children working and/or living on the street.

Decides to continue its consideration of the question of the rights of the child in accordance with its programme of work and its resolution 7/29, and to focus its next resolution and full-day meeting on a holistic approach to the protection and promotion of the rights of children working and/or living on the street.
