B. Assessment of progress made by parties in ending recruitment or use of children in armed conflict

Expresses its intention to enter into dialogue, as appropriate, or to support the Secretary-General in entering into dialogue with parties to armed conflict in violation of the international obligations applicable to them on the recruitment or use of children in armed conflict, in order to develop clear and time bound action plans to end this practice;

Under international humanitarian law, all States were required to prohibit, criminalize and effectively investigate and prosecute the unlawful recruitment or use of children in hostilities, as well as any instances of sexual violence against them, regardless of which party to the conflict was responsible.
