The Subcommittee is pleased to highlight the fact that, during the reporting period, the process of cooperation with the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF) resulted in a joint OHCHR-Subcommittee-OIF project to provide support for the activities of the Subcommittee for the implementation of the Optional Protocol in States Parties which are members of OIF.

Paragraph 6 of Article 13 of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants establishes a financial mechanism for the provision of adequate and sustainable financial resources to Parties which are developing countries or countries with economies in transition on a grant or concessional basis to assist in their implementation of the Convention.
