The General Assembly may wish to invite the Economic and Social Council to review and strengthen the mandate of the Commission on the Status of Women, so as to enable it to continue to play a central role, within the United Nations system, in monitoring and advancing the implementation of the Platform for Action and the outcome document, and in assisting the Council in that regard.

(b) Decide that a gender perspective should be incorporated into issues before the Assembly and consider modalities for the effective review of the implementation of the Platform for Action and the outcome document on an annual basis;

(d) Governments, in close collaboration with non-governmental organizations and civil society, prepare national reports on the progress achieved in the implementation of the Platform for Action and the outcome document for review by the Commission on the Status of Women in 2004;

The Platform for Action and the outcome document of the twenty-third special session (General Assembly resolution S-23/3) recommended legislative and institutional reform to expand women's access to and control over land, including the right to inheritance and ownership and other productive resources.

(ب) تعزيز اللجنة المشتركة بين الوكالات المعنية بالمرأة والمساواة بين الجنسين، من خلال لجنة التنسيق الإدارية، وذلك بغية دعم التعاون والتنسيق من أجل تنفيذ منهاج العمل والوثيقة الختامية والتشجيع على المتابعة المتكاملة والمنسقة للمؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة؛
