The Centre is in the process of revising the manual on practical measures against corruption to include the text of the International Code of Conduct for Public Officials, the United Nations Declaration against Corruption and Bribery in International Commercial Transactions, and other relevant instruments, such as the Organization of American States and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development conventions.

(a) To ensure that the ongoing revision of the manual prepared by the Secretariat on practical measures against corruption incorporates the recommendations of the Expert Group Meeting on Corruption and its Financial Channels and takes note of the conclusions of the first Global Forum on Fighting Corruption;

In its resolution 1998/16, on action against corruption, the Economic and Social Council requested the Secretary-General, in his efforts to update the manual prepared by the Secretariat on practical measures against corruption, to include a section describing recent developments in combating corruption.
وفي القرار ٨٩٩١/٦١ الذي اتخذه المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والمتعلق بتدابير مكافحة الفساد ، طلب المجلس الى اﻷمين العام أن يقوم ، في اطار جهوده الرامية الى تحديث عهد الدليل الذي أعدته اﻷمانة العامة بشأن التدابير العملية لمكافحة الفساد ، بتضمين النص فرعا عن التطورات اﻷخيرة في مكافحة الفساد .

To provide assistance to countries in applying those instruments and their provisions, the United Nations has also drawn up a manual on practical measures against corruption.26 A meeting of experts from all regions was convened in Buenos Aires in 1997 (see E/CN.15/1997/3/Add.1) to consider ways and means of strengthening international cooperation in this area, as well as to offer suggestions on the revision and expansion of the manual.
٦٦- وبغية تقديم المساعدات الى البلدان في تطبيق تلك الصكوك وأحكامها، فقد وضعت اﻷمم المتحدة أيضا دليل التدابير العملية لمكافحة الفساد.)٦٢( وعقد اجتماع للخبراء من جميع المناطق في بوينس آيرس في سنة ٧٩٩١ )أنظر E/CN.15/1997/3/Add.1( وذلك للنظر في طرق ووسائل تعزيز التعاون الدولي في هذا المجال، وكذلك لتقديم توصيات بشأن تنقيح وتوسيع نطاق الدليل.
