In its resolution 7/5 of 27 March 2008, the Council requested the independent expert on human rights and international solidarity to continue work on the preparation of a draft declaration on the right of peoples and individuals to international solidarity and to submit a report on the implementation of that resolution to the Council at its ninth session, unless otherwise decided by the Council.

The present report is submitted in accordance with Human Rights Council resolution 6/3, which requested the independent expert on human rights and international solidarity to continue his work on the preparation of a draft declaration on the right of peoples and individuals to international solidarity and to submit a report on the implementation of that resolution at its ninth session.

Requests the independent expert to continue his work in the preparation of a draft declaration on the right of peoples and individuals to international solidarity, and in further developing guidelines, standards, norms and principles with a view to promoting and protecting this right, by addressing, inter alia, existing and emerging obstacles to its realization;
7- يطلب إلى الخبير المستقل أن يواصل عمله على إعداد مشروع إعلان بشأن حق الشعوب والأفراد في التضامن الدولي، وعلى مواصلة وضع مبادئ توجيهية ومقاييس ومعايير ومبادئ بهدف تعزيز هذا الحق وحمايته، بوسائل منها معالجة العوائق القائمة والناشئة التي تحول دون إعماله؛

47. In its resolution 6/3 of 27 September 2007, the Council decided to request the independent expert on human rights and international solidarity to continue his work in the preparation of a draft declaration on the right of peoples and individuals to international solidarity and to submit a report on the implementation of resolution 6/3 at its ninth session, unless otherwise decided by the Council.
