٨- عملاً بالمادة ٢٢ من النظام الداخلي يجري انتخاب تسعة نواب للرئيس ورئيس لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا من بين ممثلي اﻷطراف الحاضرة في الدورة.

5. Unless the Conference of the Parties decides otherwise, the Chairman of any subsidiary body other than those established by Articles 9 and 10 of the Convention, shall be elected by that subsidiary body from among the representatives of the Parties present at the session.
٥ - ما لم يقرر مؤتمر اﻷطراف غير ذلك، ينتخب رئيس أي هيئة فرعية غير تلك المنشأة بموجب المادتين ٩ و٠١ من الاتفاقية، من جانب تلك الهيئة الفرعية من بين ممثلي اﻷطراف الحاضرة في الدورة.

At the commencement of the first meeting of each ordinary session, a President, nine Vice-Presidents and the Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Technology shall be elected from among the representatives of the Parties present at the session in a manner that every geographical region shall be represented by at least two members.
١- في بداية الجلسة اﻷولى من كل دورة عادية، ينتخب من بين ممثلي اﻷطراف الحاضرة في الدورة رئيس وتسعة نواب للرئيس ورئيس لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا بحيث تمثل كل منطقة جغرافية بعضوين على اﻷقل.
