III. Increasing procurement opportunities for vendors from developing countries and countries with economies in transition
ثالثا - زيادة فرص الشراء المتاحة للبائعين من البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية

The request is in compliance with a series of General Assembly resolutions requesting an increase in procurement opportunities for vendors from developing countries and countries with economies in transition.

In its resolution 55/247 on procurement reform the General Assembly of the United Nations stressed the need for the procurement process " to reflect fully the international character of the Organization " and reaffirmed " the need for the SecretaryGeneral to continue to explore ways to increase procurement opportunities for vendors from developing countries and countries with economies in transition " .
