Owing to certain incidents that occurred in Gabon concerning the security and safety of diplomatic and consular staff as well as the inviolability of their property, it was imperative to reaffirm the principles of international law on diplomatic and consular relations and to establish new modalities for their application, in order to put an end to these violations.
ونظرا لوقوع بعض الحوادث في غابون فيما يتعلق بأمن وسلامة الموظفين الدبلوماسيين والقنصليين، وحرمة ممتلكاتهم، كان لا بد من التأكيد من جديد على مبادئ القانون الدولي فيما يتصل بالعلاقات الدبلوماسية والقنصلية، ووضع طرائق جديدة لتطبيقها سعياً إلى وضع حد لهذه الانتهاكات.

Condemns all acts of violence, expresses great concern about the serious breaches and the air, sea and land violations of the withdrawal line, and urges the parties to put an end to these violations and to abide scrupulously by their obligation to respect the safety of UNIFIL and other United Nations personnel;
