In conclusion, in view of the nature of the office of the Register and the significant rights and obligations relating to its establishment, all States and international, regional and subregional organizations and specialized agencies are legally bound not to recognize the illegal situation resulting from the construction of the Israeli wall in the occupied Palestinian territories, including in and around East Jerusalem.

As regards the legal consequences for States other than Israel, it was contended before the Court that all States are under an obligation not to recognize the illegal situation arising from the construction of the wall, not to render aid or assistance in maintaining that situation and to cooperate with a view to putting an end to the alleged violations and to ensuring that reparation will be made therefor.
