Protect the rights of children deprived of their liberty and monitor their conditions of detention;

International norms and standards require the establishment of appropriate independent monitoring and complaint mechanisms as well as of other safeguards in order to prevent violations of the rights of children deprived of their liberty.
57- وتقتضي القواعد والمعايير الدولية إنشاء آليات مناسبة ومستقلة للرصد والتظلم وإقرار ضمانات أخرى لمنع انتهاكات حقوق الأطفال المحرومين من حريتهم.

(b) Use deprivation of liberty only as a measure of last resort and for the shortest possible period of time; protect the rights of children deprived of their liberty, including their right to privacy; and ensure that children deprived of their liberty remain in contact with their families;

(e) Protect the rights of children deprived of their liberty and improve their conditions of detention and imprisonment, including through addressing the problem of overcrowding in prisons and establishing special prisons for children with conditions suited to their age and needs, and in the meantime guarantee the separation of children from adults in prisons and places of pre-trial detention throughout the country;
(ه) حماية حقوق الأطفال المحرومين من حريتهم وتحسين ظروف حجزهم وسجنهم، بوسائل منها معالجة مشكلة الاكتظاظ في السجون، وبناء سجون خاصة بهم تلائم سنهم وحاجياتهم، وفي نفس الوقت ضمان الفصل بين الأطفال والكبار في السجون وأماكن الحجز الاحتياطي في جميع أنحاء البلاد؛

(d) Protect the rights of children deprived of their liberty and improve their conditions of detention and imprisonment, including by solving the problem of overcrowded prisons and establishing special facilities for children with conditions suitable to their age and needs; and in the meantime, ensure that children are separated from adults in prison and in pre-trial detention facilities;
(د) حماية حقوق الأطفال المحرومين من حريتهم وتحسين ظروف احتجازهم وحبسهم، بطرق منها إيجاد حلول لمشكلة اكتظاظ السجون، وإنشاء مرافق خاصة للأطفال تسودها ظروف ملائمة لعمرهم واحتياجاتهم؛ والقيام في الوقت نفسه، بفصل الأطفال عن البالغين في السجون وفي مرافق الاحتجاز قبل المحاكمة؛
