69. Also at its 824th meeting, the Board adopted the draft report on the second part of its thirty-ninth session (TD/B/39(2)/L.1 and Add.1-4), with minor amendments, and authorized the Rapporteur to complete the final version as appropriate.
٦٩ - اعتمد المجلس، في جلسته ٨٢٤ أيضا، مشروع التقرير عن الجزء الثاني من دورته التاسعة والثلاثين TD/B/39(2)/L.1) و (Add.1-4 بتعديلات طفيفة، وأذن للمقرر بأن ينجز النص النهائي حسب الاقتضاء.

34. At the 45th plenary meeting, on 29 July, the Council adopted the draft decision entitled " Report of the Trade and Development Board on the second part of its thirty-ninth session " , recommended by the Committee (E/1993/110, para. 10).
٣٤ - في الجلسة العامة ٤٥، المعقودة في ٢٩ تموز/يوليه، اعتمد المجلس مشروع المقرر المعنون " تقرير مجلس التجارة والتنمية عن الجزء الثاني من دورته التاسعة والثلاثين " الذي أوصت به اللجنة )E/1993/110، الفقرة ١٠(.

The Board, at the second part of its thirty-ninth session, held in March 1993, further stressed the need for adequate and timely preparations for an effective and comprehensive mid-term review, and requested UNCTAD, in collaboration with all relevant parts of the United Nations system, to undertake substantive and thorough preparations for that review.
وأكد المجلس كذلك في الجزء الثاني من دورته التاسعة والثلاثين المعقودة في آذار/مارس ١٩٩٣ الحاجة إلى الاضطلاع باﻷعمال التحضيرية الكافية في الوقت المناسب ليكون استعراض منتصف المدة فعالا وشاملا، وطلب من اﻷونكتاد الاضطلاع، بالتعاون مع جميع أجزاء منظمة اﻷمم المتحدة ذات الصلة باﻷعمال التحضيرية الفنية والشاملة اللازمة لذلك الاستعراض.

2. Since it had been recognized that UNCTAD should play an important role in the implementation of Agenda 21, at the second part of its thirty-ninth session the Board had decided that, in its sustainable development activities UNCTAD should focus on trade and environment, commodities, technology, services, poverty and privatization.
٢ - وقال إنه لما كان من المسلم به أن على اﻷونكتاد أن يضطلع بدور هام في تنفيذ جدول أعمال القرن ٢١، فقد قرر المجلس في الجزء الثاني من دورته التاسعة والثلاثين أن يركز اﻷونكتاد، في أنشطته المتعلقة بالتنمية المستدامة، على التجارة والبيئة، والسلع اﻷساسية والتكنولوجيا، والخدمات، والفقر، والتحول الى القطاع الخاص.

Reaffirming also the message from the Trade and Development Board to the Governments participating in the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations, adopted by the Board at the second part of its thirty-ninth session, in which the Board stressed that an early and successful conclusion of the Uruguay Round should be viewed as a prerequisite to a return to the path of growth, trade expansion and an improved world economic climate, 19/
وإذ تؤكد من جديد أيضا الرسالة التي وجهها مجلس التجارة والتنمية الى الحكومات المشتركة في جولة أوروغواي للمفاوضات التجارية المتعددة اﻷطراف، التي اعتمدها المجلس في الجزء الثاني من دورته التاسعة والثلاثين وشدد فيها على أن الوصول بجولة أوروغواي الى خاتمة مبكرة وناجحة ينبغي أن يعتبر شرطا أساسيا للعودة الى درب النمو والتوسع التجاري وتحسين المناخ الاقتصادي العالمي)١٩(،
