Delays in the submission of some reports of the special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission are attributable exclusively to them.

1. The Chair invited the Secretary of the Committee to report on the actions taken by the Secretary-General, pursuant to paragraph 7 of resolution 65/26, with regard to the identification of options for supporting the work of the special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission.

It was noted that the responsibility for delays in issuance of reports and publications was to be attributed to the special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission and the translation and document processing units of the Secretariat.
وأُشير إلى أن المسؤولية عن التأخير في إصدار التقارير والمنشورات تُعزى إلى المقررين الخاصين للجنة القانون الدولي ووحدات الترجمة التحريرية ومعالجة الوثائق في الأمانة العامة.

For the reports of special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission, for example, the Commission has been asked if it would formally endorse a reasonably shorter time frame for the submission and issuance of its documents so that the reports of special rapporteurs could be slotted against the new benchmark.

Pursuant to paragraph 7 of resolution 65/26, the Director of the Codification Division gave an oral report on assistance to special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission.
عملا بالفقرة 7 من القرار 65/26، قدم مدير شعبة التدوين تقريرا شفويا عن المساعدة المقدمة إلى المقررين الخاصين للجنة القانون الدولي.

6. At the 26th meeting, on 1 November, the Director of the Codification Division gave, pursuant to paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 65/26, an oral report on assistance to special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission.

The present report has been prepared pursuant to General Assembly resolution 64/114, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit options regarding additional support for the work of special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission to the Assembly at its sixty-fifth session.

Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on assistance to special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission and of paragraphs 396 to 398 of the report of the International Law Commission, and requests the Secretary-General to continue his efforts to identify concrete options for support for the work of special rapporteurs, additional to those provided under General Assembly resolution 56/272 of 27 March 2002;
