1. The strengthening of security and stability in the Mediterranean region is, in the view of the Russian Federation, one of the important and complex goals of world policy.
١ - يعد تعزيز اﻷمن والاستقرار في منطقة البحر اﻷبيض المتوسط، من وجهة نظر الاتحاد الروسي، واحدا من اﻷهداف الهامة المستغربة للسياسة العالمية.

They attach great significance to the programme of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on " Partnership for Peace " , which is destined to play an important role in the strengthening of security and stability in the world;
٥ - يرى الطرفان أن من غير المقبول ظهور خطوط تقسيمية جديدة في القارة وتقويض مناخ الثقة والتعاون في العالم، ويوليان أهمية كبرى لبرنامج منظمة حلف شمال اﻷطلسي " الشراكة من أجل السلام " ، الذي يدعو الى القيام بدور هام في تعزيز اﻷمن والاستقرار في العالم؛
