Guinea-Bissau is of the opinion that in order to best respond to the needs of the day, our Organization must undertake urgent and appropriate reforms. I am convinced that the political and socio-economic changes taking place on the international scene have repercussions for the functioning of our Organization.
إن غينيــا - بيســاو ترى أنه يجب علــى منظمتنا، حتـى يمكنهـــا أن تستجيـــب علـــى أحســـن وجـــه لاحتياجــات اليـــوم، أن تجري بصفة عاجلة اﻹصلاحات المناسبة وأنا مقتنع بأن التغييرات السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي تحدث على الساحة الدولية لها تأثير على الطريقة التي تعمل بها منظمتنا.

Considering the major changes taking place on the international scene and the aspirations of all peoples for an international order based on the principles enshrined in the Charter,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها التغيرات الكبرى التي تحدث على الساحة الدولية وتطلعات جميع الشعوب إلى نظام دولي قائم على المبادئ المجسدة في الميثاق، بما في ذلك تعزيز وتشجيع احترام حقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية للجميع واحترام مبدأ المساواة بين الشعوب في الحقوق وتقرير المصير، والسلام والديمقراطية والعدالة والمساواة وسيادة القانون والتعددية والتنمية وتحسين مستويات المعيشة والتضامن،

Yemen had followed closely the endeavours made by the Programme and Budget Committee and the Board at their recent sessions to find ways of strengthening UNIDO and increasing its efficiency, and he trusted that UNIDO would thus be enabled to face the challenges arising out of the political and economic changes taking place on the international scene.
وأضاف قائلا ان اليمن تابع بدقة المساعي التي بذلتها لجنة البرنامج والميزانية وكذلك المجلس في دورتيهما اﻷخيرتين لايجاد طرق لتعزيز اليونيدو وزيادة كفاءتها ، وقال انه واثق أن اليونيدو سوف يتسنى لها مواجهة التحديات الناشئة من التغييرات السياسية والاقتصادية الجارية على الساحة الدولية .
