384. the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development sought clarification on Cambodia's reservations to the recommendations.

The workshop was organized by the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (Forum-Asia) in cooperation with the International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism (IMADR), and Minority Rights Group International (MRG).

784. the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (Forum-Asia) and the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy, in a joint statement, welcomed the engagement of the Republic of Korea in the review process, but expressed their extreme disappointment at the inadequate and evasive responses.

522. the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development regretted the fact that, despite the Government's pledges to reform the mandate of the truth and reconciliation commission of Thailand, truth-seeking had been entirely overlooked and the process of prosecuting alleged perpetrators significantly delayed.
522- وأعرب المنتدى الآسيوي لحقوق الإنسان والتنمية عن أسفه إذ رغم تعهد الحكومة بإصلاح ولاية اللجنة التايلندية للحقيقة والمصالحة فقد جرى تجاهل السعي لإحقاق الحقيقة تجاهلاً كاملاً وتأخير عملية محاكمة الجناة المزعومين تأخيراً كبيراً.

477. the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development urged Singapore to engage with a broader range of actors from civil society in the follow-up process, and to review its position on capital punishment and preventive detention, reiterating the recommendation for a moratorium on the death penalty.
477- وحث المنتدى الآسيوي لحقوق الإنسان والتنمية سنغافورة على الانخراط مع طائفة أوسع من الجهات الفاعلة في المجتمع المدني في عملية المتابعة وعلى إعادة النظر في موقفها من عقوبة الإعدام والاحتجاز الوقائي، مكرِّراً التوصية بوقف اختياري لعقوبة الإعدام.

From 8 to 16 July 2011, the Special Rapporteur participated in academic events on freedom of expression, organized by the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) in Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.

715. the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development stated that Malaysia should immediately establish an independent police complaints and misconduct commission to conduct inquests within a month of each death in custody.
715- وذكر المنتدى الآسيوي لحقوق الإنسان والتنمية أنه ينبغي لماليزيا أن تنشئ لجنة مستقلة فوراً لتقبّل الشكاوى ضد أفراد الشرطة وسوء تصرفهم تُناط بها مهمة إجراء تحقيق في غضون شهر في كل حالة من حالات الوفاة قيد الاحتجاز.

17. From 16 to 20 January 2009, the Special Rapporteur participated at the Third Regional Human Rights Defenders Forum, organized by the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (Forum-Asia) in Bangkok.
17- وشاركت المقررة الخاصة من 16 إلى 20 كانون الثاني/يناير 2009، في المنتدى الإقليمي الثالث للمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان الذي نظمه المنتدى الآسيوي لحقوق الإنسان والتنمية (منتدى - آسيا) في بانكوك.

49. Also at the same meeting, the representative of International Service for Human Rights (also on behalf of the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development and the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies) made general comments in connection with the session.

14. From 13 to 15 October, the Special Rapporteur participated in a conference in Seoul entitled " Freedom of Opinion and Expression in Cyberspace: the situation and challenges in East Asia " . The conference was organized by the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development, the Korean Network for International Human Rights and the Korean University Global Legal Clinic.
14- وفي الفترة من 13 إلى 15 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، حضر مؤتمراً عنوانه " حرية الرأي والتعبير في الفضاء الإلكتروني: الوضع والتحديات في منطقة شرق آسيا " عقد في سيؤول ونظمه المنتدى الآسيوي لحقوق الإنسان والتنمية والشبكة الكورية لحقوق الإنسان الدولية والمركز القانوني العالمي التابع للجامعة الكورية.

24. Delegates of the following non-governmental organizations also took the floor: Article 19 - International Centre Against Censorship, the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (in collaboration with the Southeast Asian Alliance), the East Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project, the International Federation of Journalists, the International Humanist and Ethical Union and the Press Emblem Campaign.
