8. CEDAW called upon Timor-Leste to ensure that the draft Civil Code addresses discrimination against women in all areas covered by the Convention, in particular with respect to inheritance and ownership rights, rights to property on divorce and legal capacity, and give high priority to its speedy adoption.

105. The Committee expresses its concern about the disparity between the minimum legal age for marriage of boys (17 years) and of girls (15 years) and notes that in the draft Civil Code the minimum legal age for marriage has been raised to 17 for both boys and girls.
