69- ودعا ممثلو الشعوب الأصلية آلية الخبراء إلى التركيز بقدر أكبر على دور الصناعات الاستخراجية في مضاعفة مخاطر الكوارث، ولفتوا الانتباه إلى أسباب الكوارث التي هي من صنع الإنسان.

41. In a joint intervention, indigenous representatives from Australia invited the members of the Expert Mechanism to attend the Conference in Melbourne.
41- وفي مداخلة مشتركة، دعا ممثلو الشعوب الأصلية في أستراليا أعضاء آلية الخبراء إلى المشاركة في المؤتمر المذكور في ملبورن.

He noted that the Council attached high importance to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. He emphasized that the Council had continuously called for the full and effective participation of indigenous peoples during the preparatory process of the World Conference, and for the studies and advice of the Expert Mechanism to be considered in that preparatory process.
