Her delegation recognized the need for steps to ensure the full efficiency of the Organization's action on the ground, in accordance with the principles laid down in General Assembly resolution 59/250, and to strengthen its capacity to respond flexibly to the needs of the countries concerned, in particular by making the financing of operational activities for development more dependent on core resources.
