He also reported on technical assistance programmes of the International Labour Organisation, which was currently providing assistance in drafting legislation for the indigenous peoples in the Russian Federation, and was helping the Government of Guatemala to devise a policy and institutional framework to solve the problems faced by the indigenous peoples in that country.
