34. In its resolution 22/11, the Council decided to convene, at its twenty-fourth session, a panel discussion on the human rights of children of parents sentenced to the death penalty or executed, and requested the OHCHR to prepare a report on the outcome of the panel discussion in the form of a summary, and to present it to the Council at its twenty-fifth session.

Pursuant to resolution 22/11, the Human Rights Council held a panel discussion, on 11 September 2013, at its twenty-fourth session, on the human rights of children of parents sentenced to the death penalty or executed, with a particular focus on the ways and means to ensure the full enjoyment of their rights.
1- عملاً بالقرار 22/11، عقد مجلس حقوق الإنسان في 11 أيلول/سبتمبر 2013 في إطار دورته الرابعة والعشرين حلقة نقاش بشأن حقوق الإنسان لأطفال المحكوم عليهم بالإعدام أو المنفَّذ فيهم حكم الإعدام، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على السبل والوسائل الكفيلة بضمان تمتع هؤلاء الأطفال بكامل حقوقهم.

6. The Deputy High Commissioner noted that, in its resolution 22/11, the Human Rights Council expressed deep concern regarding the negative impact of the imposition and carrying out of the death penalty on the human rights of children of parents sentenced to death or executed, and urged States to provide those children with the protection and assistance they required.
6- ولاحظت نائبة المفوضة السامية أن مجلس حقوق الإنسان قد أعرب في قراره 22/11 عن بالغ قلقه إزاء ما يخلفه إصدار وتنفيذ حكم الإعدام من آثار سلبية على حقوق الإنسان لأطفال المحكوم عليهم بالإعدام أو المنفَّذ فيهم حكم الإعدام، فحثت الدول على تقديم ما يحتاجه هؤلاء الأطفال من حماية ومساعدة.
