13. Yet another Government noted that the integration exercise seemed to indicate the intention to formalize the situation in the countries where, for various reasons, staff members of the Department of Public Information were no longer being appointed as directors of the information centres.

29. In all aspects of the integration exercise, we will proceed within the parameters set by the General Assembly, namely, on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the views of the host country and ensuring that the information functions and autonomy of the information centres are not adversely affected.

١٩ - تحيط علما بتقرير اﻷمين العام عن دمج مراكز إعلام اﻷمم المتحدة في المكاتب الميدانية التابعة لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي)٤(، الذي يلاحظ فيه أن أهداف عملية الدمج ما زالت سارية، وتحيط علما باعتزامه بذل جهد متضافر لمعالجة المشاكل المصادفة في تنفيذ عملية الدمج في عدد من مراكز اﻹعلام؛

15. The results of the current trial of integrating a number of United Nations information centres with field offices of UNDP have to be seen in the light of both the 1990 Agreement between UNDP and the Department of Public Information on cooperation in the field and the decision of the Secretary-General of March 1992 on the integration exercise.
١٥ - إن نتائج التجربة الراهنة لدمج عدد من مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة للاعلام مع المكاتب الميدانية التابعة لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي يتعين النظر اليها في ضوء كل من اتفاق عام ١٩٩٠ بين برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي وإدارة شؤون الاعلام المتعلق بالتعاون في الميدان، والقرار الذي توصل اليه اﻷمين العام في آذار/مارس ١٩٩٢ بشأن عملية الادماج.
