12. At its 44th meeting, on 25 October, the Council adopted a draft resolution entitled " Proposed revisions to the medium-term plan of the Economic Commission for Africa for the period 2002-2005 " , which had been recommended by the Economic Commission for Africa (see E/2002/15/Add.4).

58. At its 44th meeting, on 25 October, the Council adopted a draft resolution entitled " Proposed revisions to the medium-term plan of the Economic Commission for Africa for the period 2002-2005 " , which had been recommended by the Economic Commission for Africa (see E/2002/15/Add.4).

I have the honour of writing to inform you that the Economic and Social Council met at a resumed substantive session on 25 October 2002 and adopted a draft resolution entitled " Proposed revisions to the medium-term plan of the Economic Commission for Africa for the period 2002-2005 " (Council resolution 2002/39).

I have the honour to transmit to you herewith, for appropriate action by the Fifth Committee, a letter dated 30 October 2002 from the President of the Economic and Social Council addressed to me (see annex I) concerning Economic and Social Council resolution 2002/39 of 25 October 2002, entitled " Proposed revisions to the medium-term plan of the Economic Commission for Africa for the period 2002-2005 " (see annex II).
