Relevant publications were prepared and disseminated in all Middle Eastern countries.

2. While facilitating reconciliation and cooperation among the Middle East countries and promoting the Middle East peace process, the international community should continue to attach importance to and support relevant proposals and efforts to establish a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction.
2 - يتعين على المجتمع الدولي، في إطار سعيه لتسيير المصالحة والتعاون فيما بين بلدان الشرق الأوسط وتعزيز عملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط، أن يواصل إيلاء الأهمية وتقديم الدعم للمقترحات والجهود المتصلة بإنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية وجميع أسلحة الدمار الشامل الأخرى في الشرق الأوسط.

We salute the efforts made by the Director General of the Agency to realize this endeavour. We call upon him to continue his consultations with the Middle East countries to facilitate an early application of the full scope of the safeguards on all nuclear activities, so that the Middle East region can be free from all weapons of mass destruction, including non-nuclear weapons.
وإننا نحيي الجهود الكبيرة التي يبذلها المدير العام للوكالة لتحقيق هذا المسعى، وندعوه إلى مواصلة مشاوراته مع دول الشرق اﻷوسط لتيسير التطبيق المبكر لضمانات الوكالة الشاملة على جميع اﻷنشطة النووية وإخلاء منطقة الشرق اﻷوسط من أسلحة الدمار الشامل بجميع أنواعها بما فيها اﻷسلحة غير النووية.
