The Ministers affirmed the role of South-South cooperation in the overall context of multilateralism as a continuing process, vital to confronting threats and challenges facing developing countries in advancing economic development and social progress, promoting and preserving peace and security, and promoting and protecting human rights and the rule of law.
20 - وأكّد الوزراء على دور التعاون جنوب-جنوب في السياق العام لتعددية الأطراف وأنه عملية مستمرة لا غنى عنها للتصدّي للتهديدات والتحديات التي تواجه البلدان النامية ودفع عجلة التنمية الاقتصادية والتقدم الاجتماعي إلى الأمام وتعزيز وحفظ السلام والأمن وتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان ودولة القانون.

34. A number of delegations emphasized that UNCTAD's work on the new geography of trade and economic relations has highlighted the role of South-South cooperation in the overall context of multilateralism.
34- وأكد عدد من الوفود أن عمل الأونكتاد بشأن الجغرافيا الجديدة للتجارة والعلاقات الاقتصادية أبرز دور التعاون بين بلدان الجنوب في السياق العام للنظام المتعدد الأطراف.

We reaffirm the role of South-South cooperation in the overall context of multilateralism, as a continuing process vital to confront the challenges faced by the South, and as a valuable contribution to development, and the need to further strengthen it, including through enhancing the capacities of the institutions and the mechanisms that promote such cooperation.
6 - وإننا نجدد التأكيد على دور التعاون بين بلدان الجنوب في السياق العام للتعددية باعتباره عملية متواصلة وحيوية للتصدي للتحديات التي يواجهها الجنوب، وباعتباره مساهمة قيِّمة في التنمية، وعلى الحاجة إلى تعزيزه وذلك بطرق منها تعزيز قدرات المؤسسات والآليات التي تشجع ذلك التعاون.
