(b) The Secretary-General may terminate the appointment of a staff member with a fixed-term appointment prior to the expiration date for any of the reasons specified in subparagraph (a) above, or for such other reason as may be specified in the letter of appointment;
(ب) يجوز للأمين العام أن ينهي تعيين الموظف المعين تعيينا محدد المدة قبل حلول تاريخ انتهاء التعيين، وذلك لأي سبب من الأسباب المحددة في الفقرة (أ) أعلاه أو لأسباب أخرى تكون محددة في كتاب التعيين؛

(د) يجوز للأمين العام أن ينهي التعيين المحدد المدة للموظف قبل تاريخ انتهاء مدة تعيينه، لأي من الأسباب المبينة في الفقرات الفرعية (أ) و (ب) و (ج) أعلاه، أو لأي سبب آخر يكون محددا في كتاب التعيين.

This prohibition shall be valid throughout the member's term of office and for one year thereafter, except where one of the reasons specified by law exists (article 14, paragraph 10, of Act No. 1264/82).
