These observations and recommendations were discussed, and agreed upon, by the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial and Development Institutions.

The adoption of the Global Framework for Transit Transport Cooperation between the Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries, which was adopted by the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts and Donor Countries in 1995 and subsequently endorsed by the General Assembly, was a milestone in paving the way for improved transit transport systems.

The Mongolian delegation expresses its hope that the General Assembly will at its present session endorse the recommendations adopted last June by the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial and Development Institutions.

Furthermore, the report of the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial and Development Institutions, called for in paragraph 10 of the same resolution, is also before the General Assembly in document TD/B/42(1)/11-TD/B/LDC/AC.1/7.

The purpose of this evaluation was to serve as a basis for the review of the progress in the development of the transit systems which was undertaken by the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial Development Institutions called for by the General Assembly in the same paragraph of the resolution.

The Board also took note of the progress report by the UNCTAD secretariat on specific actions related to the particular needs and problems of land-locked developing countries and the report of the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial and Development Institutions.
١١ - وواصل حديثه قائلا إن المجلس أحاط علما أيضا بالتقرير المرحلي الذي أعدته أمانة اﻷونكتاد بشأن إجراءات محددة تتصل باحتياجات ومشاكل معينة تواجهها البلدان النامية غير الساحلية، وتقرير الاجتماع الثاني للخبراء الحكوميين من البلدان النامية غير الساحلية وبلدان العبور النامية وممثلي البلدان المانحة والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية.

The Islamic Republic of Iran had already implemented, through a number of subregional projects and agreements, a considerable number of the recommendations contained in the annex to the report of the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial and Development Institutions, referred to in document A/50/341.
٤٤ - ومضى يقول إن جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية قد أتمت بالفعل، من خلال عدد من المشاريع والاتفاقات دون اﻹقليمية، تنفيذ عدد كبير من التوصيات الواردة في ملحق تقرير الاجتماع الثاني للخبراء الحكوميين من البلدان النامية غير الساحلية وبلدان المرور العابر النامية وممثلي البلدان المانحة والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية، المشار إليه في الوثيقة A/50/341.

27. The meeting discussed the recent developments that had taken place in the subregion in the light of the Global Framework for Transit Transport Cooperation between Landlocked and Transit Developing Countries and the Donor Community which had been adopted at the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts.
٢٧ - وناقش الاجتماع التطورات التي حدثت مؤخرا في المنطقة الفرعية في ضوء اﻹطار العالمي للتعاون في ميدان النقل العابر بين البلدان غير الساحلية النامية وبلدان المرور العابر النامية ومجتمع المانحين الذي اعتمد في الاجتماع الثاني للخبراء الحكوميين الدوليين)٦(.

In order to facilitate the implementation and the follow-up of the Global Framework adopted by the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts from Land-locked and Transit Developing Countries and Representatives of Donor Countries and Financial and Development Institutions, it is recommended that UNCTAD, in close collaboration with the regional economic commissions, coordinate, as appropriate, all the necessary actions in this regard.
٩٢ - من أجل تيسير تنفيذ ومتابعة اﻹطار العالمي الذي اعتمده الاجتماع الثاني للخبراء الحكوميين من البلدان غير الساحلية النامية وبلدان المرور العابر النامية وممثلي البلدان المانحة والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية، يوصي بأن يقوم اﻷونكتاد، بالتعاون الوثيق مع اللجان الاقتصادية اﻹقليمية، بتنسيق جميع الاجراءات اللازمة في هذا الصدد، حسب الاقتضاء.

٩٢ - من أجل تيسير تنفيذ ومتابعة اﻹطار العالمي الذي اعتمده الاجتماع الثاني للخبراء الحكوميين من البلدان غير الساحلية النامية وبلدان المرور العابر النامية وممثلي البلدان المانحة والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية، يوصي بأن يقوم اﻷونكتاد، في تعاون وثيق مع اللجان الاقتصادية اﻹقليمية، بتنسيق جميع الاجراءات اللازمة في هذا الصدد، حسب الاقتضاء.

7. At the Second Meeting of Governmental Experts, it was agreed that the two secretariats will cooperate and report to their respective bodies on issues of common interest and in particular on the treatment of proceeds of intermediated securities that take the form of assets within the scope of the draft Guide or of proceeds of assets within the scope of the draft Guide that take the form of intermediated securities.
7- وقد اتُفق في الاجتماع الثاني للخبراء الحكوميين على أن تتعاون الأمانتان وتُقدِّما إلى هيئتيهما المعنيتين تقريرا بشأن المسائل ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وخصوصا بشأن معاملة عائدات الأوراق المالية المودعة لدى وسيط التي تتخذ شكل موجودات مندرجة ضمن نطاق مشروع الدليل أو عائدات موجودات مندرجة ضمن نطاق مشروع الدليل تتخذ شكل أوراق مالية مودعة لدى وسيط.
