On 17 September 2007, the Secretariat-General received a memorandum from the Arab League mission in New York concerning the agenda for a high-level meeting on Iraq to be held at United Nations headquarters on 22 September 2007, with the participation of all concerned parties, chief among them being the Prime Minister of Iraq and the United Nations Secretary-General.

217. On 10 October 2007, the Secretariat-General received a report from the League mission in Iraq on the subject of the cholera epidemic afflicting several Iraqi regions and towns. The mission proposed providing assistance to the concerned Iraqi authorities to help them to overcome this epidemic.

On 28 October 2007, the Secretariat-General received a memorandum from the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq, requesting the convening of an extraordinary session of the Council of the League at permanent delegate level to discuss the developing situation on the Iraqi-Turkish border.

245. On 23 October 2007, the Secretariat-General received a memorandum from the Permanent Delegation of the State of Qatar, requesting that it be provided with a list of names of Arab States which have contributed to the fund in support of Iraqi émigrés in host Arab States.

On 16 October 2007, the Secretariat-General received a memorandum from the Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Sudan, containing a number of important points regarding Sudanese efforts to implement the hybrid operation. The Secretariat-General circulated this to Member States at the time.

On 17 December 2007, the Secretariat-General received memorandum AL/1/2/55-2528 from the Permanent Delegation of the United Arab Emirates, proposing that the Arab League adopt the same measures taken by the African Union Peace and Security Council and exercise greater pressure on the Anjouan authorities to restore stability and security in the Union of Comoros.

the Secretariat-General received memoranda on the forms of support provided from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Tunisia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar, and is liaising with other Member Arab States in the region to implement this resolution.
وقد تلقت الأمانة العامة مذكرات بشأن أشكال الدعم المقدمة من كل من: المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، دولة الأمارات العربية المتحدة، ومملكة البحرين، الجمهورية التونسية، والمملكة العربية السعودية، وسلطنة عمان، ودولة قطر وتتابع الأمانة العامة اتصالاتها مع باقي الدول العربية الأعضاء في المنطقة لتنفيذ ما جاء في هذا القرار.

On 22 October 2007, the Secretariat-General received a memorandum from the Permanent Delegation of the State of Kuwait to the League, requesting that it be provided with the names of States which have made donations in support of Iraqi émigrés and the amount of these donations in order for the State of Kuwait to consider its donation in respect of the joint appeal by UNHCR and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

250. On 4 November 2007, the Secretariat-General received memorandum 438 from the Permanent Delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic to the League, welcoming the Secretary-General's proposal to launch a media campaign to help to alleviate the suffering of the Iraqi émigrés and the heavy burdens endured by their host States, particularly Syria and Jordan.
250 - كما تلقت الأمانة العامة مذكرة المندوبية الدائمة للجمهورية العربية السورية لدى الجامعة رقم 438 بتاريخ 4/11/2007 ترحب فيها باقتراح الأمين العام إطلاق حملة إعلامية للمساهمة في التخفيف من معاناة المهجرين العراقيين، وكذلك من الأعباء الثقيلة التي تتحملها الدول العربية المضيفة لهم وخاصة سورية والأردن.

269. On 5 March 2008, the Secretariat-General received a memorandum from the Permanent Delegation of the State of Kuwait, containing a list of names of prisoners who were announced to have been killed during the Iraqi aggression against Kuwait (235 as of 22 January 2008). On 13 March 2008, the Secretariat-General circulated the memorandum to the delegations of Member States.
269 - كما تلقت الأمانة العامة مذكرة من المندوبية الدائمة لدولة الكويت بتاريخ 5/3/2008 تضمنت قائمة بأسماء الأسرى الذين تم الإعلان عن استشهادهم خلال العدوان العراقي على الكويت، وبلغ عددهم (235) شهيدا حتى تاريخ 22/1/2008، وقد قامت الأمانة العامة بتعميم المذكرة بتاريخ 13/3/2008 على مندوبيات الدول الأعضاء.

The Secretariat-General immediately called upon Arab governmental and civil organizations to provide urgent assistance for this purpose. the Secretariat-General received a letter from the Arab Medical Union advising of the decision of the Union's relief and emergency committee to allocate the sum of US$ 10,000 to help combat the epidemic.
قامت الأمانة العامة على الفور بالطلب من المنظمات العربية الحكومية والأهلية لتقديم المساعدة العاجلة لهذا الغرض، وتلقت الأمانة العامة رسالة من اتحاد الأطباء العرب تفيد بقرار لجنة الإغاثة والطوارئ بالاتحاد تخصيص مبلغ 000 10 دولار أمريكي للمساهمة في مكافحة هذا الوباء.
