13. The report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of the United Nations information centres (A/AC.198/1997/6) contains nine recommendations which in due time and, with the prevailing consensus in our work, will be considered by this Committee.
٣١ - ويتضمن تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تقييم مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام (A/AC.198/1997/6) تسع توصيات والتي ستنظر فيها هذه اللجنة في الوقت المناسب وبتوافق اﻵراء السائد في أعمالنا.

The report describes the operational framework as elaborated in the report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of NEPAD (A/57/156 and Corr.1), and the progress in its further development over the past year.

7. The report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of the United Nations information centres,1 submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session in 1997, confirmed the role of United Nations information centres as local focal points for information emanating from the United Nations system as a whole.
٧ - وأكد تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تقييم مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام)١(، المقدم إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة في عام ١٩٩٧، دور مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام كمراكز تنسيق محلية للمعلومات الصادرة عن منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة ككل.

14. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of publications produced by the Department of Public Information in the sphere of development, submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session,11 and requests him to renew his efforts to better meet the needs for wider dissemination of development-related information;
٤١ - تحيط علما بتقرير اﻷمين العام عن تقييم المنشورات التي تنتجها إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام في مجال التنمية المقدم إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة)١١(، وتطلب إليه أن يجدد جهوده لتحسين تلبية الحاجة إلى نشر المعلومات المتصلة بالتنمية؛

14. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of publications produced by the Department of Public Information in the sphere of development, submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session, A/AC.198/1997/4. and requests him to renew his efforts to better meet the needs for wider dissemination of development-related information;
٤١ - تحيط علما بتقرير اﻷمين العام عن تقييم المنشورات التي تنتجها إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام في مجال التنمية المقدم إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة)٨(، وتطلب إليه أن يجدد جهوده لتحسين تلبية الحاجة إلى نشر المعلومات المتصلة بالتنمية؛ )٧( A/AC.198/1997/3.

29. The report of the Advisory Committee in document A/52/865 concerned the status of the special account for the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) and made comments on the report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of the United Nations operations in Cambodia (A/51/777).
٢٩ - أما تقرير اللجنة الاستشارية الوارد في الوثيقة A/52/865 فيتعلق بحساب دعم سلطة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية في كمبوديا ويبدي تعليقات بشأن تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تقييم عمليات اﻷمم المتحدة في كمبوديا A/51/777)(.
